Cancellation by the tenant
The tenant may cancel the rental agreement in writing. The date on which the landlord receives the cancellation will be regarded as the cancellation date.
If the tenant cancels, the following cancellation charges are payable to the landlord:
- Up to 3 months before arrival: full refund
- Between 3 and 2 months before arrival: 50% refund
- Between 2 and 1 month before arrival: 25% refund
- Less than 1 month before arrival: no refund
- The security deposit will not be refunded, as we keep this period reserved.
The tenant acknowledges that these amounts remain payable even if the cancellation is due to illness, an accident or other personal circumstances.
If desired, the tenant may take out cancellation insurance covering the cancellation charges payable under this agreement.
Cancellation charges must be paid into the landlord’s bank account no later than 10 days after written cancellation.
